Overnight Markets: S&P 500 registers its seventh straight advance

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.2% to 137 as of 10:51 a.m. in Tokyo. Japan’s Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 0.6%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index slid 0.1%, while South Korea’s Kospi Index was little changed.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index climbed 0.3%, led by property developers, and China’s Shanghai Composite Index increased 0.1%.
