Overnight Markets: Wall Street at record highs after Fed leaves stimulus intact

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index climbed 1.6% to 141 as of 9:41 a.m. in Hong Kong. Japan’s Topix index rose 0.9%, heading for the highest closing level in two months. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index gained 1% to a five-year high. New Zealand’s NZX 50 Index climbed 0.9% to a record high. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index added 1.8% and Singapore’s Straits Times Index surged 1.9%.
Markets in mainland China, South Korea, Taiwan and Sri Lanka are closed for holidays.
