Overnight Markets: Wall Street little changed on lacklustre earnings

In Asia, shares fell as investors await the release of the delayed US payrolls data to gauge when the Federal Reserve will starting trimming record stimulus.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.2% to 143 as of 10:47 a.m. in Tokyo. China’s Shanghai Composite Index (SHCOMP) lost 0.3%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 0.6%.
Japan’s Topix index slipped 0.1%, while South Korea’s Kospi index lost 0.2%. Taiwan’s Taiex dropped 0.3% and Singapore’s Straits Times Index added 0.2%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index (AS51) rose 0.3% and New Zealand’s NZX 50 Index advanced 0.7%.
