David Jeffs, a 36-year-old private client adviser at City-based IFA HFM Columbus, has been formally charged with the murder of ‘kind and generous’ socialite Roberto Charles Troyan.
Jeffs was due to appear in court yesterday to face charges following the discovery of the body of Troyan at his Mayfair flat on March 8.
Police said Troyan, commonly known as Robert, had suffered head injuries. ‘He was a very well known character in Mayfair, whom friends describe as kind and extremely generous,’ a police spokesman said earlier this month.
