Quilter brings in Gillian Bailey to bolster Glasgow team

by Sarah Miloudi on Apr 13, 2010 at 10:52

Investment manager Quilter has unveiled its latest appointment, aimed at bolstering its presence in Scotland's largest city.

Gillian Bailey has joined the firm where she will act as an investment manager in its Glasgow office.

Bailey moves from Cornelian Asset Managers, based in Edinburgh, where she was associate director.  Quilter’s new investment manager also spent time at Standard Life and Abbey National Asset Managers.

Alan Cameron, head of the investment management firm’s Glasgow office, said Bailey’s appointment would strengthen its offering north of the border.

‘With an investment management career spanning more than 20 years Gillian has the depth of experience Quilter is looking for to continue building its business in Scotland.’ he said.

Bailey will work with Quilter’s team of around 300 staff who provide investment management services to private clients in Britain, Jersey and Ireland.  The company has a total of 11 branches.
