Quilter eyes Tier 1 opportunity with new launch

by Sarah Miloudi on Dec 06, 2012 at 13:44

Quilter has unveiled a service aimed at foreign investors seeking residency in the UK.

The wealth manager's latest offering will target investors seeking UK residency through the UK Border Agency’s Tier 1 Investor visa.

Quilter, which recently announced plans to merge with rival Cheviot, will work in partnership with professional advisers who oversee the investor's visa application process.

The firm has developed a bespoke investment management service to meet the needs of clients wishing to invest a minimum of £1 million through a regulated financial institution in the UK.

Speaking about its latest offering,  Jonathan McCall and David Lowe, investment managers, said the investment restrictions for Tier 1 portfolios can be complex, so its new service will help navigate clients through the process.

'Our service has been specially designed to ensure individuals seeking to obtain a visa using the criteria do not have the application compromised by an unstructured investment portfolio,' the pair said.
