Asset manager Quilter has made its eleventh hire of the year after bringing in Julian Menges from Heartwood Wealth Mangement to help lead its £500 million managed portfolio service.
Menges has been appointed as deputy head of the Quilter service, which in the 12 months to the end of June has seen its assets under management rocket by more than 70%.
The former Heartwood head of portfolio management brings with him nearly two decades' experience in the wealth management sector and spent nine years at Heartwood after previously working as an Astaire & Partners director.
Stephen Vakil, (pictured), Quilter's managing director, said the group's latest hire reflected its ambition to strengthen its offering across the UK, Channel Isles and Ireland.
'The managed portfolio service is central to Quilter's proposition and has continued to grow in popularity with private investors and financial advisers who want to outsource the management of their clients.'
'Julian's appointment is our eleventh this year as we continue to strengthen the investment teams and extend our footprint across the UK.'
Menges began work at Quilter on 23 August, helping to steer the group's seven managed portfolio strategies which invest solely in collectives.
