by Danielle Levy on Aug 12, 2013 at 11:15
Rathbone Investment Management has bolstered its Winchester team with the hire of Edward James-Moore from HSBC Global Asset Management.
Moore joins Rathbones, led by Andy Pomfret (pictured), as an investment director and will report into Tim Bolton Carter, regional director for the South West. He will join Rathbones' 13-strong Winchester-based team, which manages over £1 billion in assets.
In his new capacity James-Moore will be responsible for managing a range of private client and charity portfolios.
During his most recent spell as a director at HSBC, where he served as Midlands head, James-Moore managed over £210 million of discretionary funds for individual clients, pensions, charities and trusts. He was also responsible for new business generation.
Commenting on the hire, Bolton Carter said: 'Edward is an excellent fit with this corporate culture, combining a very credible track record as an investment manager with a strong understanding of the importance of meeting client needs precisely.
'The growth of our Winchester team underlines our commitment to ensuring we continue to meet these objectives.'
