Rathbones raids HSBC again for Winchester office
by Robert St George on Mar 19, 2014 at 09:56
Oliver Northover has joined the Winchester branch of Rathbone Investment Management from HSBC Global Asset Management, six months after his boss made the same move.
Edward James-Moore switched from HSBC to Rathbones in August, reporting to the firm’s regional director for the south west Tim Bolton Carter in the Winchester-based team, which manages over £1 billion in assets.
The Rathbones south west office was shortlisted in Citywire's regional wealth manager awards earlier this year.
Northover was an investment executive at HSBC in Southampton, and is now a Sipp and investment manager at Rathbones.
He told Wealth Manager that he had decided to leave HSBC due to its ‘standardised model’ for clients, whereas Rathbones took a ‘much more bespoke’ approach.
