by David Campbell on Jan 22, 2014 at 10:48
RC Brown has formally launched Alpha Portfolio Management, the third party discretionary service led by Andrew Morris and colleagues who joined the business from Rowan Dartington last year, as exclusively revealed by Wealth Manager.
Morris, a co-founder of Rowan Dartington, joined RC Brown in 2013 alongside senior fund manager Joe Dyer and administrators Helen Parry and Claire Hudd.
Alpha Portfolio will offer the model-based, low-cost managed portfolio service for client with minimum assets of £20,000 and the bespoke portfolio service from a minimum of £100,000.
‘The launch of Alpha marks the start of a new era for us and is the first step towards us delivering our goal as a leading regional provider of bespoke investment solutions,’ said Morris.
‘We believe we have one of the most comprehensive and cost effective personalised investment offerings provided by a third party discretionary fund manager available at present.’
Both will draw on eight portfolios across six risk profiles with two income options, investing in a mixture of direct and fund investments.
Morris and his team, who collectively formed the core of Rowan Dartington’s third-party Signature service, will be joined by former colleagues Mark Sevier, head of equity research at Rowan Dartington, and portfolio manager James Gardner, once they have served their notice periods.
