Redmayne’s Nicola Loudon flies nest to Charles Stanley

Charles Stanley has added to its team in Leeds with the hire of Nicola Loudon from Redmayne Bentley.

Loudon, who joins as an investment adviser, is the granddaughter of Redmayne senior partner Keith Loudon and daughter of managing partner David Loudon. She said her family is supportive of the move.

‘I was working in the Harrogate franchise of Redmayne Bentley and had been working at the company for about five years having started as an administrative assistant back in September 2009 before becoming a stockbroker in July 2010 and an Investment Manager in May 2013,’ she said.

‘I was looking for a challenge and a change and met the Charles Stanley Leeds team through a friend who happened to work in the same building as them. Having made my decision to move to Charles Stanley I consulted both my father and grand-father who both agreed that Charles Stanley was a good place to develop my career.

‘I very much look forward to working with the Charles Stanley team in Leeds who have a clear vision for the future in the current regulatory framework and I am excited at this next stage of my career.’

Jonathan Baker, who co-heads the Leeds office with Simon Martin, said: ‘Nicola is a very bright and capable individual and it is testament to the office that we are building in Leeds that we have been able to attract someone of her quality and talent.

‘Nicola is fully qualified with CISI Level 6 and the PCIAM examination to her name and we are looking forward to fully supporting her as she builds her business at Charles Stanley.’

Keith Loudon of Redmayne Bentley added: 'I am very proud of my granddaughter Nicola. She has obtained a first class degree and a credit in her investment exams. She is broadening her experience and I believe she has a bright future in the profession. We all wish her well.'

Well, if Dad and Grandpa are waving bye bye with all their blessings you had better learn the old adage 'keep your friends close and your enemies even closer'; or there is something even more Machiavellian going on and they are sending you off to CS for three years of free training before you come back in to the family firm. Best wishes for the future.....
