Rowan Dartington's ambitious growth plan starts with Truro move

Rowan Dartington’s new management has begun its expansive strategy with a senior hire and relocation of the Redruth branch to nearby Truro.

The firm has appointed Darren Horton, formerly investment adviser at Kellsall Steele and Truro Stockbrokers, as the new branch manager at the Truro office.

Sasha Dabliz, head of business development at Rowan Dartington, said the office relocation demonstrates the company’s commitment to the Cornwall area.

She said: ‘We are expanding our presence in Cornwall, and Truro is a natural place to select. The new location will provide better access for private clients who want to meet their Rowan Dartington stockbroker.

‘Also from a business perspective we have better opportunities in Truro. Darren has lived in Cornwall all his life so he has a lot of contacts in that area.’

Earlier in the summer, David Couch, new managing director at Rowan Dartington, told Citywire Wealth Manager that the company is embarking on an ambitious growth strategy.

On top of the Truro relocation, Couch plans for Rowan Dartington to open a new branch before the end of the 2009 and follow it up with two new offices in 2010.

In addition to an aggressive hiring spree, the wealth management firm has also set up a graduate trainee scheme.

Dabliz, meanwhile, revealed the Truro office relocation will be complemented with new hires to expand the team. She said: ‘We are looking at two or three other people. As the branch grows we will support the growth of the office.’
