Russell poaches Aviva asset allocation head
by Eleanor Lawrie on Dec 12, 2013 at 12:10
Russell Investments has hired Aviva's Mirko Cardinale as head of asset allocation for EMEA.
He is the third hire to Russell's multi-asset team, following those of senior portfolio manager David Vickers and Rob Hall (pictured) who rejoined from Schroders.
Cardinale was formerly Aviva's head of strategic asset allocation and the lead fund manager on the UK with-profits and diversified growth funds.
'He is an extremely capable and experienced individual with a strong background in implementing asset allocation models to improve long-term investment performance,' Russell’s chief investment officer of multi-asset solutions and EMEA, Christophe Caspar said of the hire.
