Saunderson House hires legal chief in bid to broaden client base

Saunderson House has appointed Beverly Landais as marketing and business development director.

Beverly joins from Devereux Chambers, a UK barrister set, where she was CEO for the last four years.

In her new capacity she will spearhead Saunderson's desire to grow its core client base in professional services, along with expanding into other areas.

Managing director Tony Overy (pictured) said in a statement: 'Her [Landais] experience within the professional services sectors, which aligns with our culture of putting clients first, will ensure our continued growth in the professional services marketplace.

He added: '[The hire] will help us reach other areas where our specialist knowledge of the financial requirements of self-employed people - such as partners in other professional services firms, or entrepreneurs - will be valuable.'

Landais' hire follows the appointment of Duncan Ross as chief operating officer.

Ross joined in October from Citi Securities and Fund Services to lead Saunderson House's growth strategy.

The firm added 100 clients in 2012 and 43 in the first quarter of 2013.
