SC Davies to launch execution-only service

Private Bank SC Davies & Co is moving into the execution-only space by rolling out its global multi-asset fund range direct to clients.
The boutique private bank is planning to open up its multi-asset fund range to retail clients. The range comprises the IM Mosaic Global Equity, IM Mosaic Global Fixed Income and Mosaic IM Global Alternatives funds.
Consumers can access the funds through the firm’s in-house platform and use proprietary tools developed by SC Davies to blend them. Chief executive and former Wealth Manager cover star Simon Davies (pictured) said the firm was seeking to broaden its proposition and increase its touch points with potential clients.
‘It is designed to be a simple blending process. I believe that one of the problems with the supermarket approach is there is too much choice for a professional person, for example, who may not happen to have knowledge of the industry,’ Davies said. ‘We want to be in a space which opens the door for people who may not necessarily know one exchange traded fund from another but want access to an investment vehicle.’ The minimum investment for the funds will be £2,000 and the platform will offer clients online valuations.
Since SC Davies launched its platform in November and made its multi-asset fund range available to intermediaries, the firm has attracted £100 million in assets, contributing to a total of £550 million under management at a group level.
