by Danielle Levy on May 21, 2014 at 11:43
Schroders has appointed its head of investment Peter Harrison to its executive board.
Welcoming Harrison to the board, Andrew Beeson, chairman of Schroders, said: 'Peter's appointment to the board as head of investment reflects the strong growth the firm has seen in recent years.'
Harrison (pictured) was appointed head of investment in May, having previously been global head of equities.
He began his career at Schroders in 1988 as an equity analyst. He subsequently held roles at Newton as a portfolio manager, at JP Morgan as head of global equities and multi-asset, as well as a stint at RWC Partners as both chairman and chief executive.
Schroders has been a shareholder in RWC since 2010 and Mr Harrison is non-executive chairman.
Schroders now runs some £268 billion in assets.
