Schroders commodities head exits
by Dylan Lobo on Apr 04, 2014 at 14:22
Schroders' commodities head Robert Howell has left the firm to pursue opportunities outside of the industry.
Geoff Blanning, head of Schroders emerging market debt, commodities and currencies group, will replace Howell, taking charge for energy and metals.
Blanning has held his original post for 15 years and has more than 20 years' investment experience.
'Geoff was principally responsible for starting and developing Schroders’ commodity business in 2005 and has a considerable level of experience and success in investing in both emerging markets and commodities,' Schroders said in a statement.
'There will be no change to the investment objective of the funds, and Geoff will continue to work with the two existing commodity fund managers, Rodolphe Roche and Paula Bujia.'
