by Robert St George on Apr 28, 2014 at 08:50
Alex Tedder has been recruited by Schroders from American Century Investments as its new head of global equities.
Tedder was formerly co-head of global and non-US large cap strategies at American Century Investments, where he managed £12.5 billion of assets and a 15-strong team.
At Schroders, Tedder will assume responsibility from interim head Peter Harrison for the group’s global and international equities business management and strategic planning.
‘I am delighted to welcome Alex to Schroders,’ said Harrison (pictured), global head of equities at the firm.
‘Global equities is a priority growth area for Schroders. Together, Alex and Simon [Webber] will drive our existing strong business forward and make it world class, enhancing our portfolio construction process and delivering performance for clients over the long term.’
