Seddons makes key hire for new wealth service

Seddons has hired James Ward (pictured) as a partner for its new wealth management service.

He joins the West End-based legal firm from rival law firm Lee Bolton Monier-Williams, where he served as a partner in its private client department.

A succession planning, inheritance tax and mental capacity specialist for high net worth individuals, James will play a key role in the launch of Seddons Private.

The service will be led by Deborah Jeff, who will continue in her role as head of family at Seddons.

Seddons managing partner Simon Ross said in a statement: 'James is highly regarded throughout the private client community and we’re confident that he will make a valuable contribution to our firm.'

He added: 'Our private client practice has been growing steadily over the last few years and James will play a key role in helping us to continue to deliver the high levels of service we are known for. His appointment is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to having a top-class private client offering.'
