SocGen Private Banking Hambros hires JP Morgan man

SocGen Private Banking Hambros has hired former JP Morgan Private Bank portfolio management head Anthony Hourdé.

Hourdé (pictured) joins as a senior portfolio manager from JP Morgan Private Bank where he worked for eight years, latterly as an executive director in the portfolio management group where he headed a team.

Prior to this, he spent four years at JP Morgan Asset Management after a spell at London & Capital.

In his new role, Hourdé, a CFA charterholder, will focus on the private bank’s discretionary business.

He will also cover advisory clients, servicing both European and UK-national clients. The latter makes up at least 50% of the private bank’s UK business.

Chief investment officer Eric Verleyen told Wealth Manager: ‘Anthony’s appointment forms part of growth ambitions for the private bank’s investment division. We have had great momentum.’
