Standard Life Wealth names Driver as discretionary boss
Markets
by Dylan Lobo on Jan 21, 2013 at 12:15
Standard Life Wealth has named David Driver as its managing director.
Driver will take charge of the day-to-day activity of discretionary fund management, reporting to chief executive officer Richard Charnock (pictured).
London-based Driver has been at Standard Life Wealth for three years and previously served as network director for the firm.
One of Driver's key challenges will be to ensure the wealth firm captures the opportunities presented by the retail distribution review.
'With RDR now implemented, we believe there will be an increase in the number of advisers choosing to outsource investments, allowing them to spend more time on other areas of their client’s accounts while also de-risking their business,' Driver said in a statement.
'We are well positioned to work with our adviser partners, where we have already established trusted relationships, to help ensure their clients achieve the investment goals they have set.'
