SVM names two deputy fund managers for flagship funds

Jeruzal, who joined SVM from Kempen Capital Management in 2006, has been promoted from his role of UK investment analyst to take an active role in supporting lead manager, Citywire + rated Neil Veitch, on portfolio strategy and allocation for the £108 million SVM UK Opportunities fund.
Over 12 months, the fund has returned 34.49% outperforming the FTSE All share's 20.81%. Over three years, the fund is up 34.98% while the FTSE All share returned 30.98%.
Meanwhile Birch, formerly European investment analyst, will assist Hugh Cuthbert in managing the £17 million SVM Continental Europe fund. This fund has returned 28.92% over the last year compared to its benchmark the FTSE World Europe ex UK's 25.18% rise. Over three years, the fund is up 20.72% versus the benchmark's 25.78% rise.
Birch joined SVM in 2012 from BNP Paribas Investment Partners UK, where he was a portfolio manager within the European mid and small cap team.
