Ted Scott leaves F&C after 30 years

F&C Investments' global strategist Ted Scott has retired after spending 30 years at the company.
Steven Bell, director of global macro, who joined F&C last year has taken on Ted's responsibilities.
Scott (pictured) is a veteran fund manager, having formerly managed the F&C UK Growth & Income fund until 2009. He also ran the F&C Stewardship and Stewardship Income funds, alongside their mirror life and pension products.In 2009 after returning from sick leave, he stepped back from day-to-day fund management to take on a strategic equities role.
His career spans 33 years, having started at stockbroking firm Schaverien & Co in 1981 as a trainee. In 1984 he moved to Friends Provident as a research analyst before he was promoted to their Stewardship team in 1987.
A spokeswoman at F&C confirmed Scott's retirement and added: 'We thank Ted for his 30 years of service at the company and wish him well for the future.'
