by Emma Dunkley on Jul 19, 2011 at 09:13
Threadneedle Investments has appointed Toby Nangle as head of multi-asset, reporting to the firm’s chief investment officer Mark Burgess.
Nangle, who will join in January 2012 based in London, will be responsible for growing the multi-asset franchise.
He will work alongside the firm’s asset allocation team and will focus on new and existing product design. As part of this, he will work alongside Alex Lyle, who is head of managed funds.
Prior to joining, Nangle was a director of the multi-asset and fixed income teams at Barings Asset Management, which he joined in 1997.
He held various positions at the firm, including head of global aggregate fixed income. Since 2007, he has also been a member of Baring’s asset allocation group and has managed multi-asset portfolios.
Threadneedle Investment's chief investment officer Mark Burgess said: ‘Multi-asset funds are increasing in popularity as a core holding among institutional and retail investors and Toby brings with him a proven track record in this area.’
