Threadneedle boosts US equities team with quadruple hire

Threadneedle Investments has bolstered its US equities team with the appointment of three analysts and a portfolio manager.
Benedikt Blomberg, Nicolas Janvier and Amit Kumar are set to join as analysts, reporting to head of US equities Diane Sobin. The trio are senior research analysts, each with more than 10 years' experience in asset management.
Blomberg and Janvier join from Columbia Management - a subsidiary of Threadneedle's parent Ameriprise - while Kumar joins from Artham Capital Partners.
They will joining Threadneedle's analyst team, including Stéphane Jeannin and Brad Colton, while Janvier will maintain his analytical duties and responsibilities with Columbia Management’s New York-based value team.
Meanwhile, Richard Adams, who was previously an analytics manager in the reporting and information services team at Threadneedle, joins the US Equities team as a client portfolio manager.

This follows the appointments of US fund manager Nadia Grant in January from JP Morgan Asset Management.
At the same time, Threadneedle's US equity head Cormac Weldon and fund manager Stephen Moore left the firm for Artemis, and Sobin became head of US equities, reporting to equity head Leigh Harrison. As part of the restructure Threadneedle announced it would increase collaboration with Columbia Management’s US equities team.
