Citywire Selection Verdict: The UK mid cap sector is on a decade run of strongly beating the large cap FTSE 100 index. Simon Haines’ fund deviates from the index with an overweight in industrials, compensated in part by an underweight to consumer services and financials. Investing in this fund is a way to get access to the UK companies ranked 101-350 by size. However, sub-benchmark performance means that we will be watching it closely.
