Threadneedle's Arkle joins Foreign & Colonial in non-exec role

Threadneedle vice chairwoman Sarah Arkle has joined the board of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust as a non-executive director.

Arkle spent 10 years as chief investment officer until December 2010 before stepping back from her executive role.

Her appointment comes as Nicholas Moakes, head of public markets at the Wellcome Trust also joins in a non-executive role. He was previously co-head of emerging markets at BlackRock.

Simon Fraser, Chairman of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust PLC said: ‘I am delighted that Sarah Arkle and Nicholas Moakes are joining the board of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust.  Both new directors bring extensive investment experience in global markets which will be of great value to the board.’
