by Elsa Buchanan on Jun 04, 2014 at 14:11
Towry has added to its Exeter team with the hire of former Hargreaves Lansdown adviser Christopher Hill .
Joining as a wealth adviser, Hill was most recently at The Pensions Drawdown Company, where he was a director and chartered financial planner for the past two years.
Prior to that, Hill spent five years at Hargreaves Lansdown, where he was a financial practitioner and pensions helpdesk consultant, specialising in retirement planning and trustee investment.
Mark Wilkins, wealth advice manager at Towry said: 'We now have a team of six experienced wealth advisers in our office, developing strong relationships with both new and existing clients. The expertise Christopher brings in the areas of retirement planning and trustee investment will be a real asset to our office.'
Hill added: 'The company has undergone a period of strong expansion recently, making a series of acquisitions, and this looks set to continue over the coming months. I look forward to beginning my new role offering high quality financial advice to individuals and trustees in the region.'
The appointment comes hot on the heels of Towry's acquisition spree, which was facilitated by a £70 million package.
Since the start of 2013, Towry, which is headed by Rob Devey (pictured), has acquired six companies. In April, it acquired Baker Tilly's private client business.
The firms manages £5.6 billion of client assets.
