Two quit Invesco Perpetual to join Woodford
by Robert St George on Nov 19, 2013 at 10:47
Two members of Neil Woodford’s team at Invesco Perpetual are to leave the firm, Wealth Manager understands.
William Deer and Mitchell Fraser-Jones, both product directors on the UK equities desk, will depart Invesco Perpetual to pursue other opportunities.
‘On behalf of the Invesco Perpetual team, I would like to thank them both for the tremendous work they have done,’ said Nick Mustoe, chief investment officer at Invesco Perpetual. ‘We wish them the very best for their futures.’
Wealth Manager understands that the pair will work with Woodford (pictured) at his new firm.
Their responsibilities will be taken up by the wider UK equities team at Invesco Perpetual.
Fraser-Jones joined Invesco Perpetual in 2002 as a senior marketing specialist, having previously worked at Singer & Friedlander Portfolio Management as an assistant portfolio manager.
Deer was recruited by Invesco Perpetual in 2006, and earlier in his career was employed by HSBC and ABN Amro as an equity analyst and as a pan-European equity salesman.
