UBS US Growth manager Kemp exits

UBS Asset Management has announced that Lawrence Kemp, lead manager on the firm’s £126 million US Growth fund , is leaving the firm.

Kemp will be replaced by managers Sam Console and Peter Bye with immediate effect.

The manager joined UBS in 1992 and has worked in a number of roles, including co-head of fixed income and chief investment strategist.

Prior to joining UBS, Kemp was a high yield trader at Prudential Securities in 1987.

Kemp has delivered 36% on the fund over three years to 12 November, underperforming the benchmark which has returned 40.9% over this time.
