UBS Wealth hires JP Morgan's Ward as UK family office head

UBS Wealth Management has hired JP Morgan's Susan Ward as head of its UK global family office (GFO) business.

Ward, who has 22 years' experience, joins from JP Morgan where she managed the firm's global reputation risk office, a role Ward held since 2008.

In her new capacity Ward will also work closely with the GFO Europe segment and try to grow the firm's UK revenues both through client development and stakeholder management.

Ward is part of a double hire, with Simon Leaver also joining the GFO team as a senior relationship manager.

Leaver joins from UBS Investment Bank, where he was responsible for managing relationships with the firm's largest hedge fund and institutional clients.

UBS Wealth intends to draw on his experience across multiple asset classes, including fixed Income, equities, capital markets and investment banking to serve the firm's family office clients.
