Walker Crips opens Birmingham office
by Elsa Buchanan on Dec 12, 2013 at 16:03
Walker Crips has acquired a team that used to work at Fyshe Horton Finney to lead an office to launch an office in Birmingham, Wealth Manager can reveal.
The firm has hired former Fyshe director and veteran Clive Duckitt to head the office, alongside former colleague Jonathan Brown. The duo will be supported by Barbara Twyford and Kathryn Duffy.
Walker Crips is merging its Solihull office into the new Birmingham branch. Solihull’s current head, Roger Shepherd, and colleague Jenny Lomas will be joining the Birmingham hub in mid-January. They will be supported by investment manager Peter Thomson, who will split hit time between Walker Crips' Northampton and Birmingham office.
Duckitt, who joined the new office after 43 years at Fyshe, told Wealth Manager: ‘I have relished the challenge of establishing a presence for Walker Crips in Birmingham. Already we have made considerable progress, having welcomed over 200 clients who are now benefitting from the broad range of services offered by Walker Crips.’
Chief investment officer Mark Rushton (pictured) explained the new office was supporting the stockbrokers’ push into the regions.
This week, the firm also announced it was opening an office in Swansea, its first office in Wales.
